Kenwood Kerr

Kenwood Kerr

CEO & Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Kenwood Kerr serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Providence Advisors Limited, a Bahamian financial services provider.

Prior to launching Providence Advisors, Mr. Kerr served as Senior Manager, Corporate Services and Head of Marketing & New Business Development for the Bahamas and Caribbean with SG Hambros Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Limited. He was also a founding Principal at Colina Financial Advisors Limited and held the position of Vice President, Investment Services with the Fidelity Group of Companies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kerr spent more than ten years with Royal Bank of Canada, NatWest, and Coutts Bahamas Limited, where he became the first Bahamian to hold the position of Manager, Investment Services.

Mr. Kerr earned a degree in Finance and Economics from Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada, and attended the College of The Bahamas and R.M. Bailey High School.

A respected contributor to the financial services industry, Mr. Kerr has served on numerous professional organizations and advisory boards. He is a founding member of the Bahamas Society of Financial Analysts and currently serves as a Director of BISX.

Chief Financial Officer, HR Manager & Compliance Officer

Mrs. Cooper obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Finance from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada, in June 1989.

She further pursued her Master’s in Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with honours.

In July 2007, she successfully completed the Series 7 examination, qualifying her as a Securities Investment Advisor / Broker-Dealer.

She gained extensive experience in the mutual funds industry, where she worked with Fortis Fund Services (Bahamas) Ltd. for ten years in several capacities.

Before Fortis ceased operations in the Bahamas in July 2003, she served as Manager of Fund Administration and was also a member of the transition team responsible for transferring the business to the Cayman office.

In November 2003, she joined S G Hambros Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Limited in the area of Pension Fund Administration, where she served as Assistant Manager in the Corporate Services Department.

In July 2006, when the pension business was transferred to Providence Advisors Limited, she joined the company in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Manager, and Compliance Officer.

Senior Manager, Administration

Mr. Cunningham currently serves as Senior Manager, Administration, Providence Advisors Limited.

Mr. Cunningham has spent over 25 years in the private banking industry. He is an Associate of The Bahamas Institute of Bankers and a Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

In his role as Senior Manager, Administration he is responsible for client relationship management and for coordinating and monitoring focused client service delivery.

He also develops innovative and integrated creative strategies to meet clients’ needs as they evolve, while ensuring the timely and accurate completion of pension statements according to client expectations.

His responsibilities further include monitoring and controlling audit and actuarial processes, ensuring adherence to internal risk and compliance standards, and meeting external regulatory requirements in the administration of all accounts.

In addition, he acts as a general liaison with employers, advisors, and banks to ensure that accounts are administered within the constraints imposed by the governing document.
